Creativity Challenges: Using Trash as a Resource in 2nd!

The room was a wreck but the feeling was joyful as the 2nd graders invented objects and problem solved on TISA's Glam Trash day last week.  

Sweet Moments in 2nd!

There are so many sweet moments throughout the day... I can't capture them all.  Here are a few that I managed photograph.

Reading buddies!  

Most of the class said that reading with their new 8th grade buddy was their favorite part of the day.  Thank you to Miss Sally for facilitating this program.

Math Games!

The kids are loving learning all of the new math games.  Pictured is a class favorite: Monster Squeeze!

Miss Mango!  The class has never been as silent as they were when they first had the chance to meet our new class pet, Miss Mango the gecko.

 Ira was inspired to make 2 "Mango Passes" for our morning choice time.  They are highly coveted.

Brain Gym with Miss Ann!  We all had fun learning more about our brains and how to help ourselves focus and feel good with Brain Gym exercises!

First Week of 2nd: Friends, Fun, and Lots of Learning!

 

What a sweet class!!  Our first week was a blast.  The kiddos are learning all about their new classroom and enjoying old and new friends.
