We enjoyed having Khalifa's mom, Jennie, in our class for a few days last week. Jennie brings her experience from years of working with kids. She's kind, fun, and has lots of little interesting tricks like fortune tellers! The kids loved making and using them to answer their friends' questions. (.....and, bonus, fortune tellers inherently practice spelling, math, and coordination!) Thank you, Jennie!

Agua es Vida!
Amadeo Irlando-Wildman, a sixth grader here at TISA, showed the Dragons a beautiful video that he and his family filmed about what makes Taos special. The video, entitled "Agua es Vida", was created by Sancre Productions, a Taos-based film production company that Amadeo's father works for. Amadeo talked to the Dragons about acequias and how cool Taos is.

Day of Service for Martin Luther King Jr!
Spread Love! The Dragons made prayer flags in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. today. We talked about his life and his dreams for the world. We thought about our own dreams for the world and put our ideas on prayer flags. Some of the kids added stitches to their flags because we've been sewing in class. Cool! The 2nd graders also put these ideas into action by going to the kindergarten in the afternoon to help with their service project.
